Our women's and men's first teams compete in the top university leagues with outstanding results. We also have second teams, where less experienced fencers can compete.
Courses and training at all levels
Whether you're an experienced fencer or a complete beginner, we have multiple sessions a week, tailored for you.
Fencing @ UoE
Fencing is a sport with a long history, made of three separate disciplines: epee, foil, and sabre, each with its weapon and rules.
Whether you are already an experienced fencer or completely new to our sport and curious about it, this is the right place for you. The club, like most University clubs in the UK, is entirely run by students, and offers beginners' sessions, intermediate training, free electric fencing, and the chance to become part of a national-level team. You won't need any special kit to begin: you can borrow it from the Club. You don't need any particular physical skill other than the will to experiment — and it will be fun from day one.
Browse the website for more information, and check out our Facebook page and other social media linked at the bottom of this page for the latest news. You can also drop in at any of our sessions at the beginning of the term.
